Rouhani calls nuclear deal a start for victories

TEHRAN – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has described the successful conclusion of nuclear talks with world powers as a start for achieving more comprehensive victories for the Islamic Republic.
The situation of the country after removal of the sanctions will definitely be better for implementing the resistance economy plans, he said in a meeting with the cabinet members and governor generals in Tehran on Wednesday.He said that the government entered the nuclear talks by adopting a “constructive approach” and has never relinquished its main principles.
In the deal, the right to enrich uranium and nuclear research and development is maintained for Iran which was the country’s main goal to be achieved in the talks, Rouhani added.
He said that the other objective of the Iranian government in the talks is reached is the removal of all the “cruel” sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
Iran and the 5+1 group - the United States, Britain, France, China and Russia plus Germany - finalized the text of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Vienna on July 14.
On July 20, the UN Security Council turned the JCPOA into international law by endorsing a resolution, setting the stage for the lifting of the Security Council sanctions against Iran.
